New Car Preparation
There are many levels to our new car preparations of which are explained as follows:
With manufacturers constantly being more and more environmentally compliant and new legislations regarding paint becoming more stringent this inevitably will have an affect on the paintwork appearance, another factor is the “Build to order” system that most customers now go for, this in itself can cause issues with paint due to being fresh and then covered almost immediately with protective film.
The paint will look almost satin and offer little by way of gloss, I would estimate in most cases only around 50% – 75% gloss would be visible, this is due to either the solvents being trapped beneath the protective film or just the environmental measures regarding paint and applications now taken to meet legislative guidelines by the manufacturer (see below), this is what i will class as “Solvent Damage”.

Legislation Directives and Explanatory Notes
Below are the new car options.
Level 1 New Car Prep. From £395
This will provide a complete surface protection of all paint, glass, wheel faces, engine bay and interior, this service includes a single stage machine cleanse and full decontamination, this service includes a long term sealant or an upgrade to Siramik Glasscoat from £125 per coat.
Level 2 New Car Prep. From £525
Our level 2 integrates a further machine polish with a mild abrasive to reduce any imperfections on the surface, this will increase the gloss by some way and make the vehicle more presentable, again Siramik Glasscoat is an additional option.
Level 3 New Car Prep. From £775
Our level 3 integrates a 3 stage machine polish to break the first and second layers of the solvent damaged surface, this will increase the gloss by some way and make the vehicle more presentable with increased gloss and depth, any deeper imperfection will also be reduced to almost invisible, again Siramik Glasscoat is an additional option.
Level 4 New Car Prep. From £995
Our level 4 integrates a multiple stage stage machine polish to remove the majority of the solvent damaged surface and 90% of surface defects, this will take gloss levels to an almost perfect finish with just the minute level of damage being left behind, again Siramik Glasscoat is an additional option.
Level 5 New Car Prep Wet Sand POA
This is the only true way of eradicating the solvent damage issues, this however we do not recommend due to paintwork warranty, however we are in constant talks with leading manufacturers regarding this system and hope to be able to carry this service out without any warranty loss.
